Notice: The page ITV1/Continuity Bumpers in the mainspace is currently a redirect to this draft. This draft was previously submitted for review and declined by Camenati (talk | contribs)The given reason is: Each of the sections' descriptions are too simple. For instance, the background in the 2nd bumper is not purely blue, the custom theme backgrounds only describe basic objects rather than what else consists of them, and the straightforward description of the logo formations. In addition to this, POV terms are used on all 3 sections. You may continue working on the draft to fix the above issues. If the issues are not fixed, the draft may be declined again. Break Bumpers
1st Bumper (October 5, 1998-October 27, 2002)
Visuals:
- On a purple water background, there's a splash in the shape of a heart with the 1998 ITV logo appearing above.
- A purple heart is in the centre with the 1998 ITV logo, on a water background beneath in. Several white streaks also appear around the symbols.
Variants:
- Starting on August 11, 2001, the ITV1 logo was used.
- Sometimes, the regional logo replaces the normal ITV logo.
Technique: Either live-action or CGI.
Audio: None.
2nd Bumper (October 28, 2002-October 31, 2004)
Visuals:
- 2002-2003: On a blue background, the 2002 ITV1 logo zooms in.
- 2003-October 31, 2004: On a black background, a blue square turns into the ITV1 logo zooming.
- October 28, 2002-October 31, 2004: On a black background, three blue squares and a yellow one flash together.
Technique: Computer animation.
Audio: None.
3rd Bumper (November 1, 2004-January 15, 2006)
Visuals: The 2004 ITV1 logo forms over a custom theme background (e.g. silk, light or building)
Technique: CGI, sometimes overlaid onto live-action.
Audio: None.
4th Bumper (November 15, 2022-)
Visuals: The 2022 ITV1 logo appears in a navy blue background. The "1" then turns a little smaller and moves from the left slowly as the "ITV" wipes out from the left. It transitions on pushing from the left, and depending on the variant, there is a trail of "1"s over a background with a different color. At the end of the break, a trail of "1"s moves in from the left and transitions on pushing from the left, showing back the normal background. Over it, reveals the logo but instead on the left, but on the right. The normal "1" sizes return to their original size as the "ITV" wipes in from the left.
Variants:
- The first variant shows after the wiping, a trail of "1"s over a cyan background. One by one, the number appears in a navy blue color for a split second and turns white. Starting from the right, each of the "1"s is smaller and thinner.
- The second variant shows after the wiping, a trail of "1"s over a darker blue background. Every time a trail of "1"s gets bigger or smaller while aligned at the bottom, it gets thicker or thinner, transparent or opaque. At the end of the break, it's the opposite of the trail of "1"'s transparency.
- The third variant shows after the wiping, a trail of "1"s acts similarly to the first variant over a darker blue background. A trail of "1"s starts at their smallest, thinnest, and fully opaque. And sizes and thickens it up, until it becomes fully transparent. At the end of the break, a trail of "1"s starts at their biggest instead of the smallest. They then size down until it becomes fully transparent.
Technique: Computer effects.
Audio: None.
