Background
CBC Television Co., Ltd., (CBC TV, callsign JOGX-DTV) is a Japanese television station serving the the Tokai Region as an affiliate of the Japan News Network. Based in Nagoya, the station is owned by Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting and started broadcasts on December 1, 1956. In 2013, CBC restructured as a holding company and its broadcasting operations were split into separate wholly-owned subsidiaries. As a result, CBC's television arm became a separate subsidiary known as CBC Television with its callsigns changed from JOAR-DTV to JOGX-DTV.
