5th ID (Startup & Closedown; August 1, 1988-March 31, 1997)

Visuals:

  • Startup: On a white background, the words "おはようございます" appear before fading to reveal an ocean, with a flower. The flower later blooms to reveal butterflies before zooming out to reveal a frog who leaps into the lagoon. The lagoon has a shot of YTV's then-new headquarters in Osaka Business Park. The frog later swims through an underwater land with a crab residing there before fading to space where there are fireworks with a shot of YTV's OBP building on the left before fading to two mallards paddling around the pond with the Osaka Castle in the land background and later into YTV's building. After that, the background ripples to white to reveal the 1976 YTV logo as it forms itself.
  • Closedown: After the 1976 YTV logo forms itself, it fades out as the words "おやすみなさい" appear before fading to black.

Technique: A mix of stop-motion and CGI.

Audio: An acapella theme.
