Background: TBA
1st Logo (1983-1987)
Logo: On a black background, we see three lines go around the edge of the screen, in blue, red, and green. The lines shine as they form. An explosion occurs in the center of the screen, and a red "2" with a circle surrounding it appears.
Technique: The lines appearing, the explosion, and the "2" forming.
Music/Sounds: A short disco tune with a chorus singing (something in Spanish).
Availability: Unknown.
Legacy: The explosion and sudden appearance could get to one or two people.
2nd Logo (1987-1990)
Logo: We see a black background with a blue pipe-like surface. The text "OAY4Y" (which is the name of the channel's signal) stretches and zooms into the screen, then zooms down as a "2" zooms in with two outlines of it moving side to side. Everything then places, as a ring zooms out and settles to surround the "2", and both the ring and "OAY4Y" text start to flip. The text disappears and the ring stops flipping.
Technique: Really cheap animation.
Music/Sounds: The 2nd Lorimar-Telepictures logo's synth brass fanfare.
Availability: Extinct.
Legacy: The really cheap animation and blatant use of the Lorimar-Telepictures music is unexpected for first time viewers.
3rd Logo (1990-1993)
Logo: We see an animation of a satellite dish receiving a signal. This image zooms out with a "dust trail" effect. This moves to the top left and eventually bottom right of the screen, and the logo appears at the top left of the screen (a blue 2 inside of a glass sphere with "frecuencia" on top and "Satelite" on bottom on an orange-yellow gradient background). The satellite dish from before appears on the bottom, and another copy of the logo as the first copy of the logo zooms into the screen.
Technique: Simple animation.
Music/Sounds: A chorus similar to that of the first logo, but at the end including an announcer saying "Transmitiendo a nivel nacional!" (Broadcasting nationwide!)
Availability: Might appear on Peruvian television occasionally.
4th Logo (1990-1993)
Logo: We see a CGI satellite move in from the bottom of the screen. It shoots a beam on a spinning globe (specifically being shot at Peru). Peru spins out of the globe and transforms into a "2", and the satellite moves out. A glass sphere appears around the 2. The word "frecuencia" appears, letter by letter, in a 3D gray font. "Satelite" appears on the bottom as well via "laser" effect.
Technique: Alright animation on the first part, but cheap animation on the second.
Music/Sounds: Same as before.
Availability: Probably extinct.
5th Logo (1993-1997)
Logo: We see a gold sphere being sliced by many rectangular segments, going vertically down. The sphere zooms out, and some slits are filled in to form a "2". Two green slivers appear above and below the logo, and the "eye" that is a result of this "blinks". "FRECUENCIA" zooms out, three white lasers shoot through the logo, and an orange "Latina" writes itself in on the bottom.
Technique: All of the animation, which is a major improvement from the previous logos.
Music/Sounds: A hip-hop theme with synth. A female (or male) announcer says "Frecuencia Latina! La imagen viva de un pais vivo! (unsure exactly of what he/she said)"
Availability: Unknown.
6th Logo (1997-2002)
Logo: We see an eye similar to that of CBS and below in green the words "F R E C U E N C I A" and below the words "LATINA"
Technique: TBA.
Music/Sounds: It is the eye in different colors moving and then below the eye the words "F R E C U E N C I A" and "LATINA" appear
Availability: Probably, extinct.
7th logo (2002-2010)
Logo: It is an eye in the middle of 2 semi-deformed rectangles and below the word "F R E C U E N C I A" and below the word "LATINA"
Technique: TBA.
Music/Sounds: At the beginning it was the eye jumping into a transparent water and then the logo appears, from 2006 it is the eye with some squares next to the eye and then some letters of the alphabet and the word appear "ESTAMOS JUNTOS" and the second "O" is the eye
Availability: Extinct.
8th logo (2010-2014)
Logo: it is a circle of different shades of green colors and in the middle of the circle the words "F R E C U E N C I A" and "LATINA"
Technique: TBA.
Music/Sounds: It is the circle turning and at the end the slogan "Piensa en grande" appears
Availability: Extinct.
9th logo (2014-2017)
Logo: it is an L with stripes and a square below and to the left side of the L and under the words "LATINA"
Technique: TBA.
Music/Sounds: At the beginning the L appears, then some geometric figures that can be formed with that L are shown, then the Latina logo of that time appears and at the end the slogan "Siempre más".
Availability: Extinct.
10th logo (2017-2020)
Logo:it is practically the same as the previous one, only that the L were no longer stripes, but now they were on and off buttons, hence the same
