Background

NPO 2 (formerly Nederland 2) is a Dutch television channel launched in 1964.

1st ID (1973-1984)

Visuals: Over a red background is the word "Nederland 2", with the "2" being 3D.

Technique: A still, printed image.

Audio: None.


2nd ID (1984-1988)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a messed up test screen. The word "NEDERLAND" is inside the 1st red bar and the number "2" is outside the test screen.

Technique: A still, computerized graphic.

Audio: None.


3rd ID (1988-1990)

Visuals: On a red & blue grid background, there is a giant "2" and the AVRO, TROS, and Veronica logos. We go inside the "2" and then a picture of the "2" appears. The picture flips to form the AVRO, TROS, and Veronica logos.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A horn fanfare with an announcer saying "Dit is Nederland 2, ATV" ("This is Nederland 2, ATV").
