Background

The Nagoya Broadcasting Network (NBN, callsign JOLX-DTV) is a Japanese television station that serves as an affiliate of the TV Asahi-run All-Nippon News Network for the Tokai subregion. The station was founded on September 6, 1961 as Chūkyō Television Broadcasting (unrelated to the present day NTV/NNN/NNS affiliate Chūkyo TV) before changing to its current name two months later. The station launched on April 1, 1962 as an NTV affiliate before joining their NNN and NNS networks in 1966 and 1972 respectively. In 1973, the station switched to ANN and began carrying TV Asahi programming, causing NTV/NNN/NNS to switch from NBN to Chūkyo TV in the process.

2nd Logo (September 25, 1971-March 31, 1987)

Visuals: Superimposed on the show's opening and/or ending sequence is the 1969 Nagoya TV wordmark, consisting of the words "名古屋テレビ" in a rounded and cubic font, usually in white.

Technique: A superimposed hand-painted graphic.

Audio: The opening or ending theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on Nagoya TV's shows from that period such as Invincible Robo Trider G7.

3rd Logo (April 1, 1987-March 31, 2003)

Visuals: Superimposed on the show's opening and/or ending sequence is the 1987 Nagoya TV wordmark, consisting of the words "Nagoya TV" in a rounded font, usually in white.

Variants:

On some shows, such as Bomberman: B-Daman Bakugaiden, the Japanese wordmark is used alongside the 1987 Nagoya TV symbol.
Around 1998, the TV Asahi Network Symbol was added, this was first seen on Bomberman: B-Daman Bakugaiden.
On some shows, such as Gekitou! Crush Gear Turbo and Crush Gear Nitro, the 1998 katakana Nagoya TV wordmark, consisting of the text "ナゴヤテレビ" in an italics and futuristic font is used.

3rd Logo (April 1, 2003-)

Visuals: Superimposed on the shows opening and/or ending sequence is the 2003 Nagoya TV wordmark, consisting of the words "メ〜テレ" in a jumbo-like font, usually in white.

Variants:

On Crush Gear Nitro, the TV Asahi Network Symbol was placed on the right of the wordmark.
Around 2004, the Network Symbol was replaced with NBN's mascot Wolfy, this was first seen on Kaiketsu Zorori.

Availability: Seen on Nagoya TV programs from that period beginning with Crush Gear Nitro.
