Background
Severin Films is an American film production and distribution company known for restoring and releasing cult films on DVD and Blu-ray. It is considered a boutique Blu-ray and DVD label.
1st Logo (2006-2011?)
Visuals: The sequence starts with a black and white scene from a movie, which shows a female hand reaching toward and rubbing the stomach of a lingerie-clad woman, who is only seen from the waist down with a gold necklace around her torso. It then fades to a grainy black and white background. On the background, the word "SEVERIN" with the upper half of a woman's head (which looks like Bettie Page) above it. It is shown at an angle. The URL "www.severin-films.com" fades in on the bottom right of the logo.
Variant: A still version without the URL exists.
Technique: A mix of live-action and 2D computer animation.
Audio: A slow-paced guitar tune.
Availability: Seen on DVDs of old exploitation films released by the company such as Hardware.
2nd Logo (February 27, 2010-2021?)
Visuals: On a grainy black and white background, there is a close of a woman's eyes. It then zooms out to reveal the Severin logo (from before). The URL "www.severin-films.com" (in a different font) fades in on the bottom right of the logo.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: Same as before.
Availability: Seen on Birdemic: Shock and Terror and BMX Bandits.
3rd Logo (March 30, 2021-)
Visuals: On a red background is the woman from before with her hair blowing out. The camera zooms out as the white text "SEVERIN" settles below the woman. A flash occurs turning the logo to normal without the blowing hair, the text in white and a red background. The camera zooms out until it settles to form the finished product.
Technique: Computer animation.
Audio: Same as the last two logos, albeit the wind sounds are heard.
Availability: Seen on current Severin releases, such as Perdita Durango.
