Background: Living is a television channel owned by Virgin Media Television broadcasting in the UK, Malta and the Republic of Ireland. Originally launched as UK Living in 1993, the channel changed its name to Living in 1997, to LivingTV in 2001 and back to LIVING in 2007. The channel's programming was aimed mainly at women and young adults, but with new shows such as CSI, Close to Home and Boston Legal, the channel is now broadening its audience reach to a wider range of demographics including men aged 18–45. UK Living

(1993-1997)

Logo: Up against a colored background, we see various objects slowly rotating or the camera panning around or away from them at the bottom of the screen. After a while, "UK" in white Arial fades in with "living" next to it that looks like the font for "Lifetime"'s logo.
Variants:

  • Sometimes the logo was used as an introduction for the next program. In this case, a voiceover artist spoke over the regular music.
  • As stated above, the background and the showed objets may vary. Know variations include: A supermarket kart in a bright blue background, jam jars in a magenta background, vessels in a purple/blue background, and salt shakers in a teal green background.

FX/SFX: The text fading in.

Music/Sounds: A nice jazz tune.

Availability: Extinct; only used as a local ident.

Editor's Note: None.
