Background

TV TEM is a regional network of TV Globo. It has its origins as TV Bauru, founded 1 August 1960 under the TV Paulista network. It was acquired by Globo under unknown circumstances in 1965. It was eventually renamed to Rede Globo Oeste Paulista and then to TV Modelo, before becoming TV TEM in 2003.

TV Bauru

1st Logo (1965)

Visuals: The 1965 Globo logo with the block letters saying TV BAURU and underneath CANAL 2.

Technique: A still image.

Audio: An ominous theme and an announcer saying "Canal 2, cada vez mais perto de você."


2nd Logo (1976)


Visuals: The Globo Logo with a ring of 17 circles around it and a countdown from 9 to 3.

Technique: Traditional animation.

Audio: Beeping sounds timed to every second.



TV Globo Oeste Paulista

1st Logo (1978)

Visuals: The transmitting towers of the station and then an outline of the state of São Paulo being stamped by multiple Globo logotypes.

Technique: Traditional animation and live action.

Audio: A dramatic theme and an announcer saying "Rede Globo, integrando a toda região oeste de São Paulo."



TV Globo Noroeste Paulista

The Globo affiliate of São José do Rio Preto, which became TV Progresso.

1st Logo (April 1991)


Visuals: A montage of shots and then the Globo Logo with the words "REDE GLOBO". Sliding out from it are the words "NOROESTE PAULISTA" and then "5 ANOS"

Technique: Live action and cel animation.

Audio: A song that ends in "Globo e você, Tudo a ver."

Availability: A 5th anniversary logo of the broadcasting station.
