Background
Team Viewtiful was formed in 2002 from a design staff led by Hideki Kamiya and Atsushi Inaba as part of Capcom's Production Studio 4. The team led the development of the Viewtiful Joe franchise. Before Viewtiful Joe 2 was released, on July 1, 2004, Capcom turned the small studio into Clover Studio, with a bigger focus on developing new intellectual properties.
