Background

LS82 TV Canal 7 Buenos Aires, also known by its trade name Argentina Public TV is a television station in Argentina, one of the five air stations of the city of Buenos Aires, where it is based, and the largest national coverage via repeater. It was the first channel to broadcast in Argentina (since 1951) and currently is the only channel air under direct state orbit of the Executive, while other federal government agencies also have air signals (eg. Universities). It was called LR3 Radio Belgrano Televisión for its first decade, until 1961, when it started to be called Canal 7. Color was added to the channel's broadcasts in 1978 when Argentina began to host the 1978 FIFA World Cup. In 1979, Canal 7 took control of a new complex and started to be called Argentina Televisora Color (ATC), that would be set until the end of the 20th century. The 1990's were a tough time for the station, since the equipment was starting to age and, under Carlos Menem, ATC was almost privatized and took a 5 month name change to "ATeCE" with a more nationalist approach. In 2000, under the new presidency of Fernando de la Rua, the station made more long-term changes and stopped to use the acronym, resulting in just "Argentina Televisora Color". The name change lasted for 3 months until the channel came back to it's 60's name, Canal 7. In addition, the National System of Public Media (SNMP) was formed as a managing and financing entity for the channel. SNMP was replaced by a new concern, Radio y Televisión Argentina Sociedad del Estado, with the Audiovisual Media Law in 2009. The channel renamed yet again in 2007 to TV Publica, while focusing on a more cultural emphasis. In 2010, the channel started it's digital broadcast on UHF channel 23. 1 year later, the channel changed to TV Publica Digital. And finally, in 2016, the channel is rebranded again, now as "Television Publica Argentina".

TV Pública (1st era)

1st Logo (2007-2009)

Visuals: On a white background, a blurry test card pattern is seen. It zooms out, unblurring and having red curves next to it and red and black lines rotating. Under it is "un todo la república argentina" zooming in. We zoom past the lines and rotate around the pattern, revealing a red "7". We zoom onto the "7" and shining lines appear on it as grey pulses appear behind it. 2 grey pulses appear beside the "7" and we zoom out with "tv.pública" appearing below. The logo zooms out as 2 extra pulses appear, the "7" shines, and the text flickering.

Variant: Unknown

Technique: The lines and pulses.

Audio: An funky synth tune.

2nd Logo (2009-2010)

Visuals: There are many versions, but here is one: On a white background, many ring-shapes move as we move around and see other things and different background colors. On the final object, multiple light blue 3-ring objects with a yellow dot in them burst away and shrink as a large version of the object with "TVPública" and "C A N A L S I E T E" fade in.

Technique: Depends.

Audio: Depends.

TV Pública Digital

1st Logo (2010-2011)

Visuals: On a black background with 2 blue lights, blurry, blue dots unblur and rotate. They disappear as some orange dots appear and rotate. The yellow dot, as well as 2 blue rings and a circling current of blue energy, zoom out and the inside becomes white as "TVPública" particularize in and a black rectangle with "DIGITAL" in a futuristic font shines in. A blue ring fills the space in between the 2 rings and the logo zooms out.

Technique: The logo forming

Audio: A peaceful theme.

2nd Logo (2011-2013)

Visuals: On a white background, we see many close up shots of a yellow ball in transparent blue shells moving around. Ring are also seen moving around the ball. We then cut to the ball and rings zooming out, forming the logo and "TVPública" as well as the rectangle flipping around.

Technique: The logo forming.

Audio: A peaceful theme (which is actually a slow version of a theme used in one of the variants of the 25th ID).

TV Pública (2nd era)

1st Logo (2013-2014)

Visuals: On a white background, there are many balls, rings and blocks, laid around everywhere moving around as we pan over them. Many orange lines form "TVPública". The rings and dot appear and draw in as we pan out to a full shot.

Technique: The logo forming.

Audio: A peaceful theme.

2nd Logo (2014-2016)

Visuals: On an orange block background, many blue pieces with patterns on some slide in as compass directions appear around it, as well as a yellow dot. The pieces form the logo and "TVP" appears when the logo slides over it. A line appears and "ESTAMOS EL TODO EL PAIS" slide out of the line.
