Background

Televisora de Oriente, or TVO, is a Venezuelan private television channel founded in 1992. The station is headquartered in Puerto La Cruz and the signal can be mainly seen in the Venezuelan states of Anzoátegui, Monagas, Nueva Esparta, and Sucre.

1st Logo (1990s)

Logo: Underwater, we see a bunch of blue-colored dolphins swimming. The camera pans up to reveal a segmented crystal pillar, in which a blue-purplish TV tube zooms out along with the text "Televisora de Oriente" in a handwritten font appearing by a light. Beneath the logo and pillar there's a blue sky with a large rainbow.

Technique: The animation of the water, dolphins, and elements of the logo emerging.

Music/Sounds: Unknown.

Availability: It was found on a CGI demo of the 1990s showcasing a few Venezuelan motion logos. It is unsure if this was used by the station or not.

"La Televisora de Oriente" slides in at the top, and the TVO logo, being a red rounded rectangle with the text "tvo" slides in from the right. The camera then settles.

Technique: Simple animation.

Music/Sounds: An upbeat salsa jingle with people singing "TVO, la Televisora de Oriente!". Judged by the quality of the recording, it seems this jingle was used longer then.

4th Logo (2011-2014)

Music/Sounds: Sounds accompanying the action along with a stock pop-rock theme.

13th Logo (2014-2015)
