Background
Video-Rodven was a Latin American video distributor, owned by the now-defunct Rodven Records. The company released VHS's and Beta's on Colombia and Venezuela. In Venezuela, they distributed Disney videotapes in the late '80s/early '90s through their VeneVista Video joint venture.
1st Logo (Mid 80's-Early 1990's [Colombia]/Early 2000s [Venezuela])
Logo: Over a starry space background, we see two pairs of lasers flying towards the center, which makes the rainbow TV-tube shape with the blue glow, which zooms in to cover up the background, then clips from various movies like Looney Tunes and 10in TV-tube shapes slide horizontally, from left to right; after that, the TV-tube shape zooms out and flies to the near-top, causing to create 3 more rainbow TV-tube shapes to rearrange in the Rodven Records logo-like formation, then they shoot black/pink lasers(the glow around TV-tubes briefly intensifies when they happen) to make "video-rodven" in the dark-blue font with the blue glow in the following order: the right TV-tube shape makes "vi", the top one makes "rod", the left one makes "eo-" and the bottom one makes "ven".
Technique: Whatever animation was used here, the camera is very wobbly (because the uploader applied the Stabilizer effect in the YouTube Editor). Other than that, no major issues despite it being a typical home video logo for the time.
Variant: A short version exists, where it starts from the point where the TV-tube shape zooms out.
Music/Sounds: An excerpt of "Fanfare For The Common Man (Earth's Loops)" by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, accompanied by laser zaps.
Availability: Uncommon. Although the logo was most likely used in Colombia until the 1990s, Venezuelan tapes until the early 2000s period have reported using it, including a 2002 print of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
2nd Logo (Early 1990's-199?)
Logo: TBA
Technique: None.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Scarce.
Legacy: Lack of animation makes it a boring logo.
3rd Logo (199?-????)
Logo: Several white pieces appear from various directions and form the vinyls of the Rodven logo, and near the completion, the "rodven" letters fly in and place below. The result rotates to the camera.
Technique: Choppy 3D animation.
Music/Sounds: Ascending sounds and a bang.
Availability: Scarce.
Legacy: The addition of animation makes it a slight improvement over the last logo.
