Visuals: Just a simple copyright notice on a black background (normally for The Walt Disney Company), which fades in and out.

Variants:

• The layout of the copyright varies between every release, with the font changing or in upper or lowercase, the year appearing in digits or roman numerals, and the spacing.
• On the Walt Disney Home Video Limited Gold Collection II series of VHS tapes, the copyright lists down "Walt Disney Productions", due to it being from a year before the rebranding to The Walt Disney Company.
• On Mickey Knows Best and The Importance of Being Donald, the notice fades at the end of the screen. On the former, it appears on a static photo of Sorcerer Mickey Mouse and one of the Mickey Mouse end cards, which zooms out, while on the latter it appears after the TV that Donald is watching shows some footage of a Hollywood sign spoof (with white Donald Duck text replacing "Hollywood") zooming in.
• On North American Walt Disney Cartoon Classics releases (from 1987 to 1992), It is set on a blue background with the Cartoon Classics logo on the top. Overseas releases (as well as "Donald's Scary Tales" and "Halloween Haunts") use the standard black background copyright bumper with the WDT chimes.
  • On some earlier non-North American releases, the copyright is set within a blue starry background, the same one used at the beginning for title cards. The WDT chimes are intact.
• On some 1989 DuckTales VHS volumes in North America, the notice is in a completely different font that almost looks like it was chyroned in.
• On the Japanese VHS release of Dumbo, the copyright screen cuts in after the credits sequence rather than the screen fading on.
• On Paddington Bear, Max Feiescher's Cartoon Capers and Lucky Luke re-releases, the copyright text credits Buena Vista Pictures Distribution. The WDT chimes appear in this one.
  • On VHS releases of The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, the Buena Vista Pictures Distribution copyright appears on top with extra copyright at the bottom for Jay Ward Productions. This one is silent.
• There have been variants that also credit other Disney labels.
• On the 1990 demo tape of Arachnophobia, Hollywood Pictures and Amblin Entertainment are copyrighted.
• On the 1991 demo tape of V.I. Warshawski, Hollywood Pictures is copyrighted.
  • After early Miramax Home Entertainment trailers, Miramax Films is copyrighted.
  • After Jim Henson Video trailers, either Jim Henson Video or Jim Henson Productions is copyrighted instead.

Technique: Fading effects. The Cartoon Classics variant uses 3D animation for the logo. The The Importance of Being Donald variant uses a camera zooming transition for the TV footage.

Audio: None.

Audio Variants:

• Volumes 4 and 5 of both The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers on VHS, Paddington Bear, Max Fleischer's Cartoon Capers and Lucky Luke VHS re-releases, and Walt Disney Cartoon Classics releases from outside North America (alongside other releases such as the Japanese release of Disney's White Christmas), the Walt Disney Television/Buena Vista Television "Rainbow Castle" music can be heard.
  • on some overseas releases, uou can hear the split-second of another tune before the chimes play.
• The Cartoon Classics variant originally used the end of the Cartoon Classics theme, but was later silent.
• On some Japanese Cartoon Classics tapes, e.g. Donald Duck and his Duckling Gang, Mickey and the Gang and the Japanese VHS release of Mickey's Christmas Carol, the end theme of the Cartoon Classics logo plays over the black background variant.
• Mickey's Fun Songs: Beach Party at Walt Disney World uses the ending theme to the feature.

Availability:

• In the United States, It can normally be found on VHS and laserdisc releases of Disney's animated television shows, namely some DuckTales volumes, and all original VHS volumes of Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and TaleSpin.
  • It also showed up on the Walt Disney Cartoon Classics volumes Donald's Scary Tales and Halloween Haunts.
  • It can also be found on demo tapes from Disney, Buena Vista, Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures from 1989 until 1992.
• This also appears at the beginning of many demo tapes and Walt Disney’s Studio Film Collection VHS tapes from 1989-92.
• It also appears on some Disney Sing-Along Songs releases, alongside all 3 volumes of Mickey's Fun Songs. This is kept on the DVD releases as well.
• The Cartoon Classics variant appeared at the end of tapes released under the label (except for Halloween Haunts and Donald's Scary Tails, which instead uses the normal copyright screen).
• European/Asian releases of the Walt Disney Cartoon Classics series and other cartoon tapes (such as from the UK, Japan, and Germany) plaster the copyright screens with the standard black background one with the WDT chimes, although some releases use the blue starry background one, once again with the chimes.
• The Buena Vista Pictures Distribution variant appears on the original 1989 VHS release of Cocktail, the 1990 reissues of Lucky Luke, Max Fleischer's Cartoon Capers and Paddington Bear VHS releases, and the 1991-92 VHS releases of The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.
• The Touchstone variant appears on the 1990 VHS release (both screener and retail versions) of Gross Anatomy. It also appears on a few other 1989-90 demo/screener tapes, alongside the 1990 Touchstone preview trailer tape.
• The Buena Vista Home Entertainment variant appears exclusively on the 2000 VHS release of Scream 3: "Video Bonus Edition".
• The Miramax Films variant appears on some 1993-94 VHS tapes after the trailers for Miramax movies.
• The Jim Henson variant appears after the home video trailers for Jim Henson Video titles such as The Muppet Movie, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Fraggle Rock, and Muppet Sing-Alongs: Billy Bunny’s Animal Songs.
• This shows up more often overseas. It appears on Walt Disney Cartoon Classics releases, as well as almost every Japanese Disney VHS released from 1989 until 1992.
