Background

Yash Raj Films (YRF) is a company set up by Yash Raj Chopra, an Indian film director and producer. He initially worked for his brother's production company (B.R. Films) and set up his own company in the year 1970. This production company had three consecutive hits in 2004 and in 2005 had two box office hits.

2nd Logo (Mid 1990's-2004)

FX/SFX: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: A synthesized fanfare with the sitar strum before the final hit.

Availability: Common.

Editor's Note: TBA.

3rd Logo (1995)

Music/Sounds: Same as the last logo.

4th Logo (2004-)

Logo: TBA.

Variant: The trailer for the wrestling film Sultan has the logo be brown, to represent the earthy wrestling arena.

FX/SFX: TBA.

Music/Sounds: The 16mm film projector sound with a dreamy sounder with some bells at the beginning, the single sitar pluck followed by the repetitive "squelching" bassline played on Roland TB-303, increasing in the low-pass filter frequency for the reminder of the logo, then some harp strums followed by the timpani roll and the reversed cymbal crash.

Availability: Seen on post-2004 releases from the company. Sometimes, it would plaster older logos, like in the case of Dil To Pagal Hai.

Editor's Note: None.
