Background
Yash Raj Films (YRF) is a company set up by Yash Raj Chopra, an Indian film director and producer. He initially worked for his brother's production company (B.R. Films) and set up his own company in the year 1970. This production company had three consecutive hits in 2004 and in 2005 had two box office hits.
1st Logo (Early 1980's)

- On Lamhe, the logo is yellow and appears in a zoom-out shot from the sun.
FX/SFX: TBA.
Music/Sounds: TBA.
Availability: TBA.
Editor's Note: TBA.
2nd Logo (Mid 1990's-2004)
Logo: On a black background, we see the lines forming the logo in camera angles, then zoom into the letter Y, then the text "yash raj films" sliding in.
FX/SFX: CGI animation.
Music/Sounds: A synthesized fanfare with the sitar strum before the final hit.
Availability: Common.
Editor's Note: TBA.
3rd Logo (1995)
Logo: TBA.
FX/SFX: TBA.
Music/Sounds: Same as the last logo.
Availability: Was seen on the original release of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Saved on DVD, but removed from Blu-ray.
Editor's Note: TBA.
4th Logo (2004-)
Logo: TBA.
Variants:
- The trailer for the film Sultan has the logo be brown, to represent the earthy wrestling arena.
- Starting around the 2010s, the background turns white, with the exception of the glass Yash Raj logo, and "yash raj films" fades in on the white space.
FX/SFX: All in nice CGI.
Music/Sounds: The 16mm film projector sound with a dreamy sounder with some bells at the beginning, the single sitar pluck followed by the repetitive "squelching" bassline played on Roland TB-303, increasing in the low-pass filter frequency for the reminder of the logo, then some harp strums followed by the timpani roll and the reversed cymbal crash.
Availability: Seen on post-2004 releases from the company. Sometimes, it would plaster older logos, like in the case of Dil To Pagal Hai.
Editor's Note: None.
5th logo (2020)
