North American Bumpers

Bumper (1998-March 21, 2006)

Visuals: On a black background with stars is DreamWorks' "Moon Boy" symbol either on the top-right or top-left. In the center is text announcing the previews. The text is in a serif font and depending on the variant are in all caps. A list of variants includes:

OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION

Variant:

The "OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION" bumper has the text shining.
- On the 1999 releases of The Prince of Egypt and Toonsylvania, the moon and boy are on the top-right and the text does not shine.

Technique: A still graphic. For the standard "OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION" bumper, 2D computer animation.

Audio: None.

Availability:

Most of the bumpers are seen during the opening previews of DreamWorks videotapes and DVDs.
The "OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION" bumper can be found on family-oriented releases from DreamWorks after the opening previews. It was discontinued in 2004.
The "Year 2000" variant can be found on The Prince of Egypt, the "Next Year" variant can be found on Shrek.
The "DreamWorks Animation" variation can be found on the DVD of Shrek 2.
The last appearances of the bumpers was on the 2006 VHS of Dreamer.

International Bumpers

United Kingdom

1st Bumper (1998-1999)

Same as the CIC Video bumpers at the time.

2nd Bumper (2002-2006)

Same as the Universal Studios Home Entertainment bumpers at the time.

Australia

Bumper (1998-1999)

Same as the CIC Video bumpers at the time.

Germany

Bumper (1998-2005)

Visuals: Same as the domestic bumper, but the text is replaced by one of the following bumpers:

DEMNÄCHST IN KINO ("COMING SOON TO CINEMAS")
JETZT IM KINO ("NOW IN CINEMAS")

Variant: A variant of the "JETZT IN KINO" variant exists that shows the text in a black background.

Technique: Same as the domestic bumper.

Audio: Same as the domestic bumper.

Availability: This was found on a German VHS's at the time, such as Deep Impact.

Brazil

Bumper (2000?-2005?)

Same as the Universal Studios Home Entertainment bumpers at the time.

Spain

Bumper (2000?-2005?)

Same as the Universal Studios Home Entertainment bumpers at the time.

Mexico

1st Bumper (2000?-2002?)

Visuals: Similar to the domestic bumper, but the Moon Boy is on the top left and larger and the text is replaced by one of the following bumpers:

AHORA EN CINE ("NOW IN CINEMAS" in Spanish)
AHORA EN VIDEO ("NOW ON VIDEO")

Technique: Same as the domestic bumper.

Audio: Same as the domestic bumper.

Availability: Found on Mexican VHS releases at the time, such as Chicken Run (Pollitos en fuga).

2nd Bumper (2002?-2005?)

Visuals: Same as the Universal Pictures Home Entertainment bumpers at the time, but the DreamWorks logo is shown instead of the Universal logo. So far, the following bumpers have been found:

A la venta en video y DVD ("On sale in video and DVD")

Visuals: On a blue background with a DreamWorks logo wallpaper is "IN VENDITA IN VIDEOCASSETTA DA [MONTH/YEAR]" ("FOR SALE ON VIDEOCASSETTE IN [MONTH/YEAR]" in Italian).

Variant: In early releases, the background is black-blue gradient, the font is different, and there's a DreamWorks logo in the upper left corner.

Technique: None or the ID sliding to the right for the start of any given trailer.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appears on Italian DreamWorks VHS releases, such as Shrek and Shark Tale.

Poland

Same as the Universal Studios Home Entertainment bumpers at the time.

Finland

Visuals: On a blurry slow-motion clip of the DreamWorks logo is "TULOSSA VIDEOLLE" ("COMING SOON TO VIDEO" in Finnish).
