Background

Dualstar Video was the home video division of Dualstar Entertainment and was one of eight subsidiaries that Dualstar operated. It was launched through a deal Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made with BMG Kidz, the children's label of BMG[1]; the deal also launched Dualstar Records.[2]

Dissatisfied by the BMG deal, the Olsens moved Dualstar Video to WarnerVision Entertainment in 1995[3]; video releases were later handled by Warner Home Video. The label was quietly retired from on-screen use after 2001, though it continued to exist in general until 2004.
