Background

EON Digital Entertainment was a British video game developer founded in 2000. It targeted the PlayStation and Game Boy platforms. The company was founded by John Burns, a former Managing Director of Activision Europe. The company shut down in 2002.

Logo (September 30th, 2000 - 2002)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a blue light shining. The light reveals a blue orb that zooms out. It zooms out more to reveal a yellow "E" and "N", making the text "EON". Once it fully zooms out the screen shines. Then, it stops shining, with the same image as before, but with the text "DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT" and a blue aurora behind the orb.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A synth tune with whoosh sounds accompanying it, which get louder as the logo zooms out. Then, a synth beep when the screen shines.

Availability: Seen on Crime Cities, K-1 Grand Prix, Z: Steel Soldiers, OverBlood 2, and Landmaker.
