Background

Established as part of EPCOT Outreach Program, EPCOT Educational Media was an offshoot of Disney Educational Productions which produced educational comics, books, films and videos that were meant as supplements to be used in classrooms at a premium price.

Logo (1980s)

Visuals: There is a yellow sunburst against a black background. The burst turns into multiple golden rings and a rising neon globe. The rings interlock themselves into a flower-like shape, and the globe zip into the center of the rings. The entire thing shines, and a gold star fades in behind the globe. Then, "EPCOT EDUCATIONAL MEDIA" in a chrome-textured font wipes in from the left. The logo shines again, and then a notice for EPCOT participants fade in below. The logo shines again for the last time.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A majestic fanfare.

Availability: Can be seen on the educational shorts Harold and His Amazing Green Plants and Dare to Say No.
