Background

Eden Games (operating as Eden Studios until 2003) was formed on January 4, 1998 as a split-off of Infogrames Multimedia's Lyon development studio. With the split, former parent Infogrames retained a 19% stake in Eden, before fully acquiring the developer in April 2002. During 2012, the studio began separating from Atari SA, and reopened as an independent developer the following year.
