Intro (1990s)

Visuals: On a sky background, we pan around a pile of sheets, with more sheets bearing the channel's name on the bottom-left corner folding and stacking themselves. The last sheet contains a golden map of the world, and we zoom into it until we are left with an aerial view of the Indian Ocean, its surrounding territories, and the Middle East. A golden map of the United Arab Emirates zooms in from the world map and occupies the bottom-half of the screen. Then, "NEWS" and a some other characters below it rise from the Emirati map, and the latter characters fade out. Finally, "NEWS" faces the screen, and its trail quickly disappears. The text bears a rotational reflection.

Variants:

  • An Arabic variant exists.
  • Another variant, with "JOURNAL" in place of "NEWS" and different animation, exists.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A triumphant synth fanfare briefly accompanied by timpani, with faint tinkling sounds when "NEWS" forms.
