1st Warning (1983-2003)
Warning: On a blue background, we see the word "WARNING" along with warning text and "ENTERTAINMENT IN VIDEO LIMITED" scrolling up.
Variant: On early DVDs, the "Electronic water mark" notice has been removed.
FX/SFX: The warning text scrolling up.
Music/Sounds: None
Availability: Very common. Seen at the beginning of the UK EIV tapes from 1983 to 2003 and on DVDs from 1998 to 2003. Note that this commonly appears more so on releases with the third logo than ones with the second logo.
2nd Warning (2003-)
Warning: On a black background, the "Not for Rental" text in Arial fades in and fades out a few moments later. Then the Warning text in Arial with "WARNING" above and the manufacture notice below scrolls up.
Variants:
- Rental tapes/DVDs only used the warning screen.
- Current DVDs and Blu-rays used a different font and stands still.
FX/SFX: The text fading in and out, The scrolling of the text.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Seen at the beginning of the UK EIV tapes and on DVDs and Blu-rays, such as on Dawn of the Dead and Final Destination 3. The rental variant is extremely rare, and can be seen on Blade: Trinity.
