Background
FHE Pictures was a short-lived division of Artisan Entertainment, named after Family Home Entertainment. Its purpose was to theatrically distribute feature films aimed at kids and families. The company released only one film, 2002's Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie. It is unknown why that was the division's only film, especially given it was reviewed well and was a modest box office hit; it is likely the company had plans to release more films in the future, which were halted when they were bought out by Lionsgate in December 2003. Supposedly, FHE Pictures was overhauled into Lionsgate Films' family film arm.
