Background

FilmRise (formerly known as Fisher Klingenstein Ventures and Fisher Klingenstein Films) is a free VOD service, film and television studio that was founded in 2012 by producers/financiers Danny Fisher, Jack Fisher, and Alan Klingenstein.

(2012)

Logo: On a black or white background, we see the name in a thin white font with "FKF" in cyan in a gray square with a cyan border. Then two white searchlights cross over each other in the square.

Technique: The searchlights.

Music/Sounds: A loud warbling noise.

Availability: Rare and short-lived. Seen on programming from Fisher Klingenstein Films, including Popular Mechanics for Kids and an Amazon Prime print of Ned Blessing The True Story of My Life.

1st Logo (2012-2015?)

Logo: On a space background with a close up of the Earth in the foreground and the Sun in the center, the blue text "FilmRise," in an Impact-style font, fades in and moves up from the bottom of the screen. As it stops in the center, the Earth and Sun fade out, and a solid yellow circle, representing the Sun, fades in and moves into place above "Rise".

Variants:

• A short version exists.
• 4:3 and 16:9 versions exist.

Technique: The globe and sun fading, the text and circle moving.

Music/Sounds: Three synth pings backed by an airy, dreamy synth pad.

Availability: Rare. Can be seen of a lot of FilmRise programming, such as some seasons of Forensic Files on various streaming services.

Legacy: The soundtrack of this logo is frequently much louder than the main programs which it appears on, which may irritate some viewers.

2nd Logo (2015?-2018)

Logo: On a black background, we see "FilmRise" in the same style as before, in white. As the text zooms in, a round line, resembling the sun from before, draws itself in.

Technique: The text and the line.

Music/Sounds: None. Some shows have a dreamy synth tune similar to the previous logo.

Availability: More common than the previous logo, but still uncommon. It can be found on select series distributed by the company.

• The best sources for the logo are on current prints of most episodes of Unsolved Mysteries, which can be found on FilmRise's various partners, as well as Amazon Prime prints of Totally Spies!.

3rd Logo (2018- )

Logo: On a black background, "FILMRISE" in a different font draws itself in. Once it is finished, two round curves appear around "RISE".

Technique: The logo drawing itself.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Current. It's seen on all programming distributed by the company as of 2018, such as current digital prints of series produced by Carsey-Werner (3rd Rock From the Sun, Grounded for Life, Grace Under Fire), and various Nelvana series on Tubi.
