Background
Hawaii Animation Studios was a Honolulu-based animation studio founded on February 11, 2010 by Entrenched, Inc., providing animation and visual effects for multiple companies including IMAX, NASA, and Big Idea Entertainment. The company was also founded by Dan Krech, Jeff Bell, Joe Serafini, and John Morch, all of whom have previously worked at Jam Filled Toronto. They only lasted a few years in business before closing somewhere around 2012, and was later reopened as Fish 'n Chips Productions a year later. The company closed again after the release of Fish N Chips The Movie.
