Background

Flame Television Production Limited (or Flame TV for short) is a British production company founded in 1999 by Roger Bolton and Barbara Altounyan. They were bought out by Avalon Television on 27 August 2009 as was absorbed into the company in mid-2017.

1st Logo (November 2001-2010)

Logo: On a zooming, blue fire background the white text "FLAME" fades in via flame effect. Following it is additional credits below the company name.

Variants:

  • The size of the box can vary, sometimes being a perfect square or a rectangle, showing only the text on a small portion of the background.
  • On programmes co-produced with Channel 4, its logo at the time and copyright notice appear next to this logo, making the latter take up most of the screen and the Channel 4 logo the other half.

FX/SFX: The background moving and the text fading in.

Music/Sounds: None or the ending theme of the program.

Availability: Rare, seen on programmes from this period starting with Pump Up the Volume. It was later seen on Sex on the High Street, Crime Team, Jane Goldman Investigates, and early series of Don't Get Done, Get Dom.

2nd Logo (2010-2017)

Logo: Inside a white box, we see the text "FLAME" with a blue-r fire texture than the last and the bottom text "TELEVISION PRODUCTION".

Variants:

  • A later version of this logo has the box larger.
  • On programmes co-produced with Channel 5, the logo is to the right of said company's logo.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the program.

Availability: Uncommon. Appears on later series of Don't Get Done, Get Dom as well as Heir Hunters and episodes of A Town and Country Murder and The Nightmare Neighbour Next Door before the company's closure.
