Background

Flashback Home Entertainment is an Australian home entertainment company that specializes in releasing B-movies. They also released budget CDs.

1st Logo (2000s)

Logo: On a black background we see a filmstrip containing scenes from various movies Africa Screams (1949), Max Fleischer/Famous Studios' Superman cartoons (1941-1943), His Girl Friday (1940), Angel and the Badman (1947) and Of Human Bondage (1934) quickly moving to the left. It stops on a black and white clip of Mildred Rogers (portrayed by the late Bette Davis) from the aforementioned movie and the blue segmented text FLASHBACK appears beneath the clip via 80's dust trailing effects. HOME ENTERTAINMENT fades in beneath FLASHBACK.

Technique: The filmstrip, the text animation, which look extremely poor.

Audio: A deep synth chord which gives way into a three note synth theme. It bears a slight similarity to the theme of the second Cinema Group Home Video logo.

Availability: Seen on Australian releases of B-movies.
