Background

Fo Yo Soul was formed by gospel singer and producer Kirk Franklin. Fo Yo Soul didn't use an on-screen logo until 2009. This is a label of RCA Inspiration, a unit of Sony Music Entertainment.

1st Logo (March 2009-August 30, 2015)

Nicknames: "Shattering Glass", "Classic Microphone", "Church Boy!"

Logo: On a dark gray background with spotlights on top, a 50s style microphone comes from the top and swings towards the screen, going through it and breaking glass. As shards of glass fall, the words "FO YO SOUL ENTERTAINMENT" appears.

Music/Sounds: At the beginning, a boy imitates a beatbox, then when the microphone hits the screen, the sound of shattering glass is heard, then the boy says "Church boy!" (from Kirk Franklin song "Jesus!") as it echoes.

Availability: It was seen on the original Sunday Best on BET and reruns occasionally seen on BET Her.

2nd Logo (June 30, 2019- )

Nickname: "Classic Microphone II"

Logo: On a black background is a drawing of the 50s style microphone and on the right of it is the words "FO YO SOUL" in a futuristic font (similar to the font used in the Sega logo) and underneath that is "ENTERTAINMENT" in a sketch font.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Appears on the 2019 revival of Sunday Best on BET.
