Background
Focus Film (H.K.) Co., Ltd. (新時代影業(香港)有限公司) was a film production company from Hong Kong founded in 1984 by William Cheung Kei.[1]
Logo (1986-1987)
Visuals: On a black background, a yellow film camera, with a filmstrip connected to the bottom of it, zooms in from the top center of the screen. "Focus" can be seen on the front of the filmstrip. The pink Cantonese text "新時代影業(香港)有限公司", wipes into view in a very erratic way, followed by the cyan text ""FOCUS FILM (H.K.) CO., LTD."" to wipe in below.
Variant: A variant exists where the logo just zooms in.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: A flurry of different synth noises at the beginning, followed by a stock horn fanfare.
Availability: Seen on Lucky Seven and Brotherhood.
