Background
For Life Music Entertainment Inc. is a Japanese record label founded in 1975 by musicians Shigeru Izumiya, Takuro Yoshida and Yoshi Inoue, along with entrepreneur Hitoshi Komuro.
One of the largest Japanese music labels at the time, it housed famous artists and groups such as Anri, Chihiro Onitsuka, Yōsuke Eguchi, Miki Imai, Tomoyo Harada, GLAY, Yann Tomita, Mondo Grosso, Ryuichi Sakamoto (of Yellow Magic Orchestra fame) and Towa Tei. The original company, For Life Records, was liquidated in 2001 and split off into the current incarnation of it in 2002.
Logo (May 27, 1989)
Visuals: On a yellow background, two rounded rhombuses, masked through the background and displaying a starfield, slide in from the left within the left and right sides of the screen. Afterwards, two bordered blue violet copies of the shapes fly out of the holes. The still rhombuses crossfade to black bordered versions of themselves, shrink, and slide to the right, splitting away from black filled copies, which pan to the opposite direction. Underneath the four rhombuses, "FOR LIFE" flips in vertically.
Technique: Analog computer animation.
Audio: None.
Availability: The logo is seen on the 1989 Laserdisc release of Anri in Concert.
