Change section into portals. I've been experimenting with portal templates and I think the section pages would work well with them.
Decapitalize section and category names, such as Main Page -> Main page, Home Entertainment -> Home entertainment, Community Portal -> Community portal, etc.
Rename Movie section into Film section. "Movie" usually refers to feature-length films, and I think "Film" would encompass more topics that "Movie" does not, including newsreel logos (which I had difficulty trying to decide which section these would belong to), war and propaganda film logos, and educational film logos. Speaking of educational films...
Remove the "Education" section. Like the now-gone family & animation section, education is just a genre, and I think many of them can go to the Film section (if "Movies" is renamed to that), as well as the Home entertainment and Video game section. Which brings me to...
Rename Video Games to Video game and amusement section. I had difficulty trying to decide where pachinko logos would belong, since they're not exactly video games, and I don't think making a pachinko section is necessary since they only exist in Japan. I think "Video game and amusement" would also fit console logos (which are not VG logos).
Split off station IDs from television logo pages and creating a station ID portal/section page (this would also replace the space left by the Education section). I still think station IDs belong here rather than CB Wiki since they share a lot more in common with logos than stuff like warnings and FP screens, but they're definitely distinct from closing logos. This would take time to split since a lot of the PBS pages here have the IDs and closing logos/endcaps combined, but it's possible. Example, there would be two pages for WGBH, "WGBH" and "WGBH IDs" (each would be linked together with About or Redirect templates). The "Television IDs" category would be renamed as "Station IDs" to avoid confusion
Revamp the category naming system: Instead of "American Television IDs", it would be "Station IDs from the United States", or "British Television Logos" to "Television logos from the United Kingdom", or "Japanese-Korean Movie Logos" to "Film logos from Japanese Korea" (I had difficulty on deciding a name for this particular category, since Japanese-Korean Logos could also mean companies owned by both Japan and Korea, which there are a few). This should be easy to do since we have Special:ReplaceText.
I don't feel knowledgeable enough to comment on the rest, but I am very much in support of the Film rename, station ID move, and removal of the Education section (while I've only just started editing, I have been reading since when Scare Factors were a thing and even as a kid who was irrationally terrified of synth music I still thought the Education section was kind of pointless and could be moved into film without any issue).

So this is what you were doing on User:Logohub/sandbox? I like this idea, will take some work though to iron out a layout and to set up the Featured Article thing you were using properly. Perhaps we could draw some inspiration from Wikipedia's portals as far as layout is concerned?

Going to have to agree with DisneyInternationalFan on this one. Not really needed and wouldn't look great.

Agree. This would fit a lot of the more unusual pages nicely. Would also suggest a subcategory for Newsreels if we don't already have one.
Remove the "Education" section. Like the now-gone family & animation section, education is just a genre, and I think many of them can go to the Film section (if "Movies" is renamed to that), as well as the Home entertainment and Video game section.
I see your point, though I'd like to see at least an Education category survive as they are still somewhat distinct from Movie logos or Newsreels

Not sure if pachinko is really in our scope? I feel like Video Games fits consoles as is.

Agree. A logical extension of the current category system which does already distinguish between Television Logos and Television IDs.
IDK about this. It would just make categories more wordy than they need to be. However, wouldn't be opposed to replacing "American" with "United States" and "British" with "UK" in the existing category names
@Hb1290: About Wikipedia portals, yes I'm trying to dig ideas from WP's portals. I also changed my mind and I think the portal/section names are best capitalized.
I don't think we need a section on Newsreels since they're far too few. About Education section, they can be merged with Film, this is according to Wikipedia:
"An educational film is a film or movie whose primary purpose is to educate. Educational films have been used in classrooms as an alternative to other teaching methods."
So I believe they're better to be merged. Educational games can go to the Video Game section, and we already have educational tv companies (PBS etc.) in the TV section.
I think pachinko logos count since they're quite related to video games, and many pachinko company also work on video games too (example: Sammy), many pachinko have logos in them. Here's a pachinko logo example: Sanyo Bussan (Japan).
If station IDs are split off, I think an appropriate icon for the main page would be either a satellite dish or a radio tower.
For Newsreels and Education I meant just having a subcategory under film, not their own separate section by any means. Maybe I didn’t phrase that very clearly, like how we cut the Pirates section but kept the category. I guess pachinko is close to video games when you think about it, especially with how many pachinko makers entered the video game industry. Though I think that would still fit under “Video Games”. Either way “Video Games and Amusements” feels a little clunky to me.
As for the category names, I think it's fine with our current ones, but while section/portal names are capitalized I think the category names shouldnt be, example: American Television Logos -> American television logos

@Logohub: Had a thought as I was building on the portal page you made. Maybe we should merge the Cinema section into this new expended film category as well. Furthermore, Music Entertainment could easily be moved under Home Entertainment as a subcategory
I don't think Cinema should be merged with Film, since the former deals with theater logos and trailers, while the latter deals with film production and distribution logos.
I also don't think Music logos should be merged with HE, stuff like music video logos and label logos wouldn't really fit in.
Double post but just wanted to note that sentence case in categories is current practice on Wikipedia and various other wikis, with that in mind I wouldn't be opposed to our categories being adjusted to reflect that.
e.g. American Television Logos -> American television logos
@Hb1290: It looks pretty neat. I added another "other portals" template above the portal, since in WP there are two other portals templates, one above and one below.
If it's sentence case it should also be easier to add categories, especially on mobile, since adding categories here is case-sensitive (when using autocomplete links or HotCat)

What do you think?
- Logohub
Are you super sure? Because I'm worried it can create some confusion.
It's all done, all that's left to do is splitting off the IDs from the closing logo pages, especially those of the PBS pages. I already split off GBH IDs from GBH.
