forums.avid.wiki should be considered dead until further notice. To repeat from another thread, it was hosted for free by a WikiForge tech who then repurposed the server to give WikiForge more resources. The idea was to restore the forum on the side of that server but it didn't go well and we have not gotten updates. In general, progress on tech has been slow and the people behind WikiForge are understaffed and have too much going on.

This forum will have to do until we've gotten things straightened out. In the meantime feel free to try out the Discord server if you are able and haven't already. It will persist regardless of the wiki's stability.

Hello to our community! Since we got our new domain, the staff have been working on an exciting new project. As you know, our forum on the wiki is a rather janky combination of DPLForum and Pageforms. Of course, there aren't that many other solid options for MediaWiki forums.

So, we came to the conclusion that the best solution to create a proper, solid forum experience for our members is to take a page from the Lost Media Wiki's book and set up our very own dedicated forum site! Join us at https://forums.avid.wiki/.

In a way this takes us back to our roots as a community. The more experienced of us will know that before we even had a wiki, this community was born through the online forums of the late 90s and early 2000s, and now we've re-entered the scene, creating our first official forum site since the original wiki was launched in 2007.

Our new forum contains the best of the existing forum and the server, plus some new additions such as a capture help forum, where users can seek advice on how to go about getting logo captures, and a lost logo hunting forum where users can come together and dedicate their efforts to finding the rarest of rare logos.

Of course, this means the on-wiki forum will be deprecated. We do plan on retaining it as an archive, barring any problems with the extensions it uses.

We are very excited to launch this new side to AVID and hope you enjoy it too!

It hasn't worked all day and has been replaced with an ad for buying WikiForge, as if the forum never existed. Probably just a glitch, but I still want to make sure nothing is happening behind the scenes with us going back here that hasn't been announced or anything.

Apologies for the lack of staff response so far. A lot of incidents have come up as of late and this is just one.

forums.avid.wiki should be considered dead until further notice.

I was really unreasonably proud of my stupid "reviewing every nightmare logo" project that I was like halfway done with, it took a huge amount of writing, and now it's all gone and all for nothing. @AlmightKingPrawn I'm really sorry that thread you might be missing, mine might be missing as well, and at the end Raidarr says, D'OH! It gave me a pain in the heart that quoted the discord that a substitute for the forums even though I'm banned. Honorable mention: I need to use this forum, but I almost can't use it because of that moderation queue that most times takes and even refuses my GOOD FAITH edit of Prooptiki.
