There's a tendency on our larger pages for the Background section to become a wall of text, for example Viacom_(pre-2006). I think we could supplement these sections with an infobox to provide readers with the key facts at a glance. Below is a screenshot of how this would look on the aforementioned page. I've used PortableInfobox as it suits the look of the wiki more than the Wikipedia equivalent and template construction is simpler

The template is at Template:Infobox company. At the moment it's got the essentials, but of course more parameters could be added as needed.

I don't think we need the image there because we already have image captures

But other than that, I think it's a good idea

I think this'd make pages a lot easier to digest, I'm for it. I feel though that instead of listing subsidiaries, It'd just be easier to name the current parent company and link to its category page (like for this example, ViacomCBS/CBS)
