A few new rules are now in place on the wiki:

  • Don't edit farm. Edit farming is when a user makes multiple edits to artificially increase their edit count. This includes making unconstructive or unhelpful edits to a page.
  • Descriptions must be written as detailed as possible. Avoid simplifying elements of the identity, such as using "the company name" to describe the company name.
    • If the company name is written in a non-Latin script, it is advised to use an application such as Google Translate to scan or write the script. If the script is unintelligible, you may add the {{TransliterationNeeded}} template, but only if it is truly unintelligible (i.e. blurry or deteriorated).
  • All articles must contain at least one external link or reference. Companies must be thoroughly researched, and more references and/or links are encouraged. If there's scarce to little information available on the Internet, but the company and/or logo is verifiable (e.g. conforms to one of our notability guidelines), use the {{CompanyInvestigation}} template.
    • Only use the {{CompanyInvestigation}} template when describing companies with very little information on the Internet. This is not an excuse for writers to skip background sections of a company.

About the first rule: I am very surprised that we haven't had that rule before. Edit farming is a common prohibition, and it is very disruptive in a certain way, so I support this rule addition, along with the other ones.
