Background
France Animation was a French animation company formed in 1984. In 1996, it was purchased by and became a subsidiary of France Telecom (now Orange S.A.). In 2003, the company was purchased by Antefilms Production, eventually merging to form MoonScoop Group.
1st Logo (March 16, 1994-1995)
Logo: On the credits' background, we see a tilted filmstrip with "France Animation" inside and placed on a white TV-screen. The upper and lower zones of the white shape are colored respectively, blue and red.
Technique: None.
Music/Sounds: The ending theme to the show.
Availability: Ultra rare. It only appeared on Albert the Fifth Musketeer.
2nd Logo (September 9, 1995-2000, 2005)
Logo: On a white background, we see a series of shapes in the form of a face. It consists of an upside down yellow triangle for the right eye, a blue rectangle for the left eye, a red circle for the nose, and a curved line with two arrows on each side for the mouth. Beneath is "FRANCE ANIMATION" in black. The entire logo then fades out via an "iris" effect.
Variants:
- Sometimes, the logo would be in-credit.
- On Ivanhoe: The King's Knight, the logo is seen right next to CINAR's own logo, both on a white box.
Technique: 2D animation.
Music/Sounds: An airy dramatic synth theme, with wind blowing. In later years, it was silent.
Availability: Uncommon. It was seen on Li'l Elvis and the Truckstoppers, Vampires, Pirates and Aliens, Night Hood, Gadget Boy & Heather, Ivanhoe: The King's Knight, The Country Mouse and the City Mouse Adventures, and the Canadian French dub of the first 4 seasons of The Busy World of Richard Scarry. The still version is seen on Titeuf: Mission Nadia for the Nintendo DS.
