1st Logo (December 1995)

Logo: On a black background, we see a gradient blue circle with the following words below:

FRONTIER

D E V E L O P M E N T S

with the first letter of "FRONTIER" being larger than the rest and "DEVELOPMENTS" spaced out, all below.

FX/SFX: None.

Availability: Only appeared on Darxidefor Sega 32X.

2nd Logo (1998-2000)

Nicknames: "The Earth I", "Eclipsed Earth"

Logo: On a black background, an eclipsed Earth appears with the lit area on the top-left, a red comet flies from the top-right and crashes into the bottom of the eclipse, lighting up the "FRONTIER" part of the company name styled from before, forming the "DEVELOPMENTS" part, completing the company name.

FX/SFX: The Earth, the comet, and the company name.

Music/Sounds: A two-note choir sounder accompanied by a whoosh and a boom.

Availability: Only appeared on V2000 and Infestation.

3rd Logo (March 25, 2003-)

Nicknames: "The Laser", "Wireframe Earth", "The Earth II", "Digital Earth"

Logo: On a black background, a cyan laser forms a rectangular grid with the wireframe of the text "FRONTIER". The laser forms a wireframe globe appears by spinning to the left of the rectangle, followed by the texture wiping in out of clouds. The text "FRONTIER" becomes solidified and white and all of wireframes disappear.

Variants:

  • On many games, the logo is still.
  • On Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, the logo is already formed. Then Wallace appears on a chair being pulled by a string. Gromit (unseen) then pastes an "Anti-Pesto" sign over the globe, and then Wallace and the FRONTIER text all fall off.
  • On RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, the logo is on a white background, then a coaster rolls over the globe with cheering peeps.
  • On Thrillville and Thrillville: Off the Rails, a homemade coaster rolls down a loop the loop near the globe. It wobbles and a wooden person falls off as the coaster makes it through the loop. The person falls back into the coaster car.
  • On Planet Coaster, the logo is on a blue background with the FRONTIER text in white. King Coaster (the main mascot of Planet Coaster) runs in from a distance from the left - kicking the globe from behind - which later makes way to the title screen of the game.

FX/SFX: Nice CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: The normal variant uses loud whirring and synth sounds.

Availability: The original variant has only appeared on Rollercoaster Tycoon (Xbox version only), Wallace and Gromit in Project Zoo and Dog's Life. The variants all appear on their respective games.
