Background: This was the short lived home video division of Funai Corporation founded in 1989.

(198?-1999)

Logo: On a white background, a translucent lavender sphere zooms out, while 2 sky blue spikes, with one much larger than the other, slide across the surface of it. The tip of the top spike eventually slides off the sphere and the entire thing slides fully into view, revealing a abstract "F" as "FUNAI" slides up below with a similar spike on the "F". The sphere then turns sky blue, with the entire letter (bar the tip of the exposed spike) turning white. The end result looks just like the one seen at the end of commercials at the time.

FX/SFX: The sphere and spikes zooming out, the text sliding up, the color change.

Music/Sounds: None.

Availability: Was spotted on the Japanese VHS release of Expect No Mercy, and other releases. This logo is extremely rare in the U.S. and requires some advanced researching. Check Amazon.co.jp and eBay.

Editor's Note: None.
