Background

Futurikon is a French independent company founded in 1996 by Phillippe Delarue. The company is known for The Ugly Duckling and Me, Dragon Hunters, and Minuscule: The Private Life of Insects.

(1999?-)

Logo: On a white background, we see a dot dropping into the floor. Then it begins drawing a yellow, weirdly swirl. After that, it begins to bounce the words "FUTUR" in white and "IKON" in black. It then lands to the letter "I".

Variants:

  • There is a short version where it starts when the dot bounces.
  • There is also a still version on a black background that appears on U.S. airings of Minuscule: The Private Life of Insects on Disney Channel.
  • There is another version where the words "Films" is shown below. This was seen on the original French release of Dragon Hunters.
  • On Willa's Wild Life, the logo is still.
  • A letterboxed version is used on films from the company such as Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants.

FX/SFX: The dot and the logo forming.

Music/Sounds: A dropping sound when the dot drops, followed by a 12-note piano tune.

Availability: Common. Can be seen at the end of Fly Tales, Monster Energy, Kaput & Zosky, Willa's Wild Life, Minuscule: The Private Life of Insects, among others.
