Background

Genuine Games was a game development studio formed in 2002 and based in Woodland Hills, California. Members of the studio previously worked on titles within the Knockout Kings and Ratchet and Clank series. The company only released two games between 2004 and 2005 before shutting down.

1st Logo (November 16, 2004-November 17, 2005)

Logo: We cut into the inside of a swirling vortex. Various people and mathematical symbols are getting sucked into a hole below. The camera pans up and we see the hole is the top of a glass bottle. When everything in the vortex is sucked inside, a bottlecap drops down and twists 90 degrees. The cap is yellow with a white stripe. "genuine" is written in a red stylized font while "GAMES" is etched out in the yellow portions. On the top right is a seal containing an exclamation point, with "ESTABLISHED 2002" surrounding it in a circular arc within a dedicated circle.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • On earlier builds of 50 Cent: Bulletproof, we see the cap spin into view in an underwater environment with visible bubbles before going back out.

FX/SFX: 3D animation.

Music/Sounds: Sounds corresponding to the actions.

Availability: It was seen on Fight Club and 50 Cent: Bulletproof.
