It boasts 800 feature films, made-for-TV productions, and shorts, along with 600 documentaries and 300 animated movies. Throughout the Soviet era, the studio flourished as a hub of cinematic activity. Originating from the consolidation of multiple film production entities in Tbilisi at the dawn of the twentieth century, the studio underwent several name changes before settling as Georgian Film (Gruziya-Film in Russian) in 1953.

Variant: The logo is seen inside a square on the left side of a black background, with another square containing the Mosfilm logo seen on the right side. Underneath both logos read "Co-production of film studios GEORGIA-FILM and MOSFILM". Mosfilm is labeled as the "First" creative association whereas Georgia Film is second.

Availability: It is only seen as a co-production variant on Bagrationi. Like other non-Russian Soviet film companies from this era, they sometimes use a logo at the beginning and more often include a text indicator at the beginning.
