Background

Giok Hong Film Company (玉峰影業公司, Mandarin: Yufeng Film Company) was a Taiwanese film production company established by Lin Tuan-Chiu in 1957.[1] It produced Hokkien-language films.

1st Logo (April 7, 1960)


Visuals: Superimposed over a curtain (which is adorned with sparkling decorations) is the Yufeng logo (a golden wheel filmstrip spinning, with a forest and mountains representing Taiwan) zooming in, the Chinese name translates to YUFENG FILM COMPANY PRESENTS, and below is HUSHAN STUDIO PRODUCTION in Chinese.

Technique: Practical effects.

Audio: The opening theme.

Availability: Seen on The Husband's Secret (丈夫的秘密).

2nd Logo (May 11, 1965)

Visuals: On a satin background, there is a circle with a golden wheel spinning. Inside the golden wheel, there is a forest with a mountains (representing Taiwan) which is filmed on a frame, On the golden wheel inside, there is a film projector with a golden/white outlined object on it, with "GIOK HONG" in a serif font is seen with "SCOPE" on the right. On the top of wheel, there is a Chinese characters written backwards, translates to "Yufeng Film Company" is seen. In the bottom, there is a Chinese text written backwards, also translates to "HUSHAN STUDIO" in a same font and also in white. The two Chinese characters, which translates to "PRESENTS" is seen below. The wheel continue to spinning until the logo fades out.

Audio: A trumpet sounding fanfare.
