Background
Gloria Film was a West German film production and distribution company established in 1949 by Ilse Kubaschewski.
1st Logo (October 7, 1952)
Visuals: On a moving sunburst background, there is a big "GLORIA" in a serif font sitting on top of a stylized arc against another moving sunburst pattern. The "GLORIA" lets off a shine on the left, while "FILMVERLEIH" appears within the arc letter-by-letter. After a few seconds, a black box with a white outline and "ZEIGT" in a sans serif font fades in against the suburst pattern.
Technique: Cel animation.
Audio: The film's opening theme.
Availability: Seen only on Bis wir uns wiedersehn.
2nd Logo (December 16, 1955-1972)
Visuals: There is some clouds zooming in, to show an emblem on a spacefield saying "GLORIA" on top of the emblem, and "FILM" on the bottom. Finally, on the bottom of the emblem, we see "zeigt" in cursive.
Variant: A black-and-white variant exists.
Technique: Motion-controlled animation.
Audio: A triumphant horn theme playing through the whole logo.
Audio Variants: Unknown
Availability: It made its debut appearance in a German print of the American film Hell's Outpost.
