Background

Glorysun is a publisher (and possible developer) of unlicensed games for the Sega Mega Drive. They are most known for their various bootleg hacks.

1st Logo (1996-2005)

Logo: Over a white background is a red sphere with a crescent surrounding it at the right, forming an eye symbol. Below is "GLORYSUN" in English and Chinese scripts.

Variants:

  • Early games, such as the Final Fantasy bootleg, have the text removed.
  • On the Metal Gear Solid bootleg, the small logo is seen over a black background.
  • On the Wario Land 3 bootleg, the blue text "GLORYSUN" is seen hanging out from an aeroplane in the opening sequence.

FX/SFX: None.

Music/Sounds: None, or the opening theme of the game.

Availability: Rare, appears on most, if not all of their bootleg hacks for the Sega Genesis.

2nd Logo (????) (Wario Land 3 variant)

Logo: Over a starfield, the blue text "GLORYSUN" is seen hanging out from an aeroplane. The aeroplane flies away and the title sequence continues.

FX/SFX: The movement of the chains and text.

Music/Sounds: None.
