Background

Gold Circle Films is an American independent film production company founded in 2000. No on-screen logo was used until the following year.

Logo (January 20, 2001-)

Visuals: On a black background, a golden ring with the company name underneath it zooms in. The logo shines and its animation loops until it fades out.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo is grayscale.
  • A still version exists.
  • There is a smaller version with the company's URL underneath on some films.
  • Starting in 2014, the logo is more yellowish, in 3D, and appears rotating from a flash of light, standing against a shadow. The text below the name reads "Entertainment".
    • On Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, "Entertainment" is removed.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Usually silent, or the opening/closing theme of the film/show.

Audio Variant: Some U.S prints of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, like the original HBO DVD release, use a high-pitched PAL speed version of the 1998 Lions Gate Films fanfare.

Availability: Seen on films produced by this company such as The Man From Elysian Fields, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, the Pitch Perfect trilogy, and New in Town, among others. Some of their produced films do not use this logo. It also appears on Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.
