Background

Gold Circle Films is an American independent film production company founded in 2000.

Logo: On a black background, we see a golden ring with the company name underneath it zoom in. The logo shines and its animation loops until it fades out.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo is grayscale.
  • A still version exists.
  • There is a smaller version with the company's URL underneath on some films.
  • Starting in 2014, the logo is in 3D and appears rotating from a flash of light, standing against a shadow, and the text below the name reads "Entertainment". This is sometimes absent.

FX/SFX: The zooming in and the shining.

Music/Sounds: Usually silent, or the opening/closing theme of the film/show.

Music/Sounds Variant: On U.S prints of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, it uses a high pitched PAL speed version of the 1998 Lions Gate Films fanfare.

Availability: Seen on films produced by this company such as The Man From Elysian Fields, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, the Pitch Perfect trilogy, and New in Town, among others. Some of their produced films do not use this logo. It also appears on Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.
