Background

Golden Cinema City Video Distribution Ltd. was a home entertainment company from Hong Kong.

Logo (Early 1990s)

Visuals: On a black background, 15 orange lines appear one-by-one from top to bottom. A segmented "G", shaped like an chevron slightly, slides in along with 2 thinner chevron-shaped "C"'s overlapping it, creating "GCC". The lines shrink on both sides of the letters to box them in, and then they flash. The Chinese text "金藝城影帶發行有限公司" in an abstract font, and its English translation "Golden Cinema City Video Distribution Ltd.", then flash in below.

Technique: Motion-controlled animation.

Audio: A synth fanfare.

Availability: Seen on Angel Hunter.
