Latest revision as of 20:25, 4 November 2024
This article covers logos that contain strong language. They are hidden behind spoilers. |
Logophile, lukesams, BenIsRandom,TrickyMario7654, The Simpsons Archive, Minecraft_Logan, NightmareEnterprises and Rainbow Puppy
NOTE: Due to The Simpsons' massive run (36 seasons and counting/over 700 episodes produced), future variations will be listed.
These are the logo variations seen on certain episodes of any program throughout the years by Gracie Films, with more to be added overtime.
The Tracey Ullman Show (Rock on the Block / Shoplifting / The Height of Friendship / The Orange Badge of Courage) (1989): After the Gracie lady shushes, Ullman says "Go home!".
The Simpsons (Dancin' Homer) (1990): "Capital City" finishes over the logo.
The Simpsons (Stark Raving Dad) (1991): Leon Kompowsky (voiced by Michael Jackson, credited as John Jay Smith) lets out a "Woo!" sound. The logo then proceeds normally.
The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror II) (1991) and (Treehouse of Horror III) (1992): An organ version of the theme (composed by Danny Elfman, on a Roland D-50 using the PN-D50-00 expansion pack and its "Pipe Organ" preset) is played in minor-key.
The Simpsons (Lisa the Greek) (1992): The shush is replaced with a whistle and the regular logo music is played by a marching band.
The Simpsons (Homer at the Bat) (1992): The shush is replaced with a crack of a baseball bat and the regular logo music is played by an organ (the organ with stadium reverb), ending in the sound of a crowd cheering.
The Simpsons (The Otto Show) (1992): The regular logo music is played by an electric guitar.
The Simpsons (Kamp Krusty) (1992): The regular logo music is played by a Mexican mariachi band, ending in some off-screen voices shout "¡Ole!" The shush is absent. On Spanish prints and early 2015 prints of the episode, the voices that shout "¡Ole!" are absent.
The Simpsons (Selma's Choice) (1993): "You Make Me Feel (Like A Natural Woman)" plays over the logo, and then Selma (voiced by Julie Kavner) says "Oh yeah."; the shush and the regular logo music are absent. Original airings have the normal logo instead.
The Simpsons (Duffless) (1993): The shush and the regular logo music are replaced with a bicycle bell being rung twice followed by Homer (voiced by Dan Castellaneta) giggling.
The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror IV) (1993) and (Treehouse of Horror V) (1994): A woman is heard screaming with heavy reverb and delay, followed by the Danny Elfman organ version of the theme.
The Simpsons ($pringfield) (1993): The theme is played in the style of big band music followed by a slot machine noise replacing the second half of it.
The Simpsons (Lady Bouvier's Lover) (1994): After the Gracie lady shushes, Abe (who began talking starting at the second half of the credits of the former episode, voiced by Dan Castellaneta) says "I'm sorry."
The Simpsons (Homer the Great) (1995) and (The Wreck of the Relationship) (2014): After the Gracie lady shushes, Carl (voiced by Hank Azaria) says "Shut up!" Spanish, Italian, Hungarian and Ukrainian prints of the former episode have the normal logo instead.
The Simpsons (Bart vs Australia) (1995): The shush and the regular logo music are replaced with Lisa playing a didgeridoo.
The Simpsons (Lisa's Wedding) (1995) The regular logo music is played in the style of renaissance music.
The Simpsons ('Round Springfield) (1995): The regular logo music is played by a piano with the melody in an alto saxophone. The shush has a slight echo effect to it.
The Simpsons (Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part One)) (1995): A gun shot is heard at the end of the logo's theme.
The Simpsons (Lisa the Vegetarian) (1995): "Maybe I'm Amazed" is heard over the logo.
The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror VI) (1995): The music is played in the style of Myst/Phillip Glass music. The scream is absent.
The Simpsons (Summer of 4 Ft. 2) (1996) The logo's music is played in the style of beach music with a tenor saxophone lead.
The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror VII) (1996): A different sound effect of a woman screaming is used (albeit sounding younger), followed by a slow variant of the organ version of the theme.
The Simpsons (The Canine Mutiny) (1997): Chief Wiggum (voiced by Hank Azaria) says "Jamming" at the end. Spanish, Italian, Hungarian and Ukrainian prints of the episode have the normal logo instead.
The Simpsons (Lisa's Sax) (1997) and (Jazzy and the Pussycats) (2006): The audio from the "'Round Springfield" variant is used, albeit the melody is played an octave lower and in a tenor saxophone. On the former episode, the "Shh!" is absent.
The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror VIII) (1997): A woman is heard screaming, followed by a slightly reorchestrated version of the Danny Elfman organ version of the theme.
The Simpsons (Bart Star) (1997): After the Gracie lady shushes, Homer says "You're cut too, shushie!". Czech prints of the episode have the normal logo instead.
The Simpsons (Miracle on Evergreen Terrace) (1997), (Simpson Christmas Stories) (2005), and (Kill Gill: Volumes I and II) (2006): The regular logo music is played in the style of Christmas music.
The Simpsons (All Singing, All Dancing) (1998): The first five notes of the regular logo music play until a gunshot is heard, followed by Snake (voiced by Hank Azaria) saying "You too, Gracie music dude. Gah!". The shush is absent.
The Simpsons (Bart Carny) (1998): After the Gracie lady shushes, Bill Cosby says "Garbage". Spanish prints of the episode have the normal logo instead.
