Revision as of 10:33, 14 June 2024

NOTE: Due to The Simpsons' massive run (35 seasons and counting/over 700 episodes produced), future variations will be listed.

These are the logo variations seen on certain episodes of any program throughout the years by Gracie Films, with more to be added overtime.

The Tracey Ullman Show (Rock on the Block / Shoplifting / The Height of Friendship / The Orange Badge of Courage) (1989): After the Gracie lady shushes, Ullman says "Go home!".

The Simpsons (Dancin' Homer) (1990): "Capital City" finishes over the logo.

The Simpsons (Stark Raving Dad) (1991): Leon Kompowsky lets out a Michael Jackson-style "Woo!" sound. The logo then proceeds normally.

The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror II) (1991) and (Treehouse of Horror III) (1992): An organ version of the theme (composed by Danny Elfman, on a Roland D-50 using the PN-D50-00 expansion pack and its "Pipe Organ" preset) is played in minor-key.

The Simpsons (Lisa the Greek) (1992) and (Simpson Tide) (1998): The shush is replaced with a whistle and the regular logo music is played by a marching band.

The Simpsons (Homer at the Bat) (1992): The shush is replaced with a crack of a baseball bat and the regular logo music is played by an organ (the organ with stadium reverb), ending in the sound of a crowd cheering.

The Simpsons (The Otto Show) (1992): The regular logo music is played by an electric guitar.

The Simpsons (Kamp Krusty) (1992): The regular logo music is played by a Mexican mariachi band, ending in some off-screen voices shout "¡Oley!". The shush is absent. On Spanish prints and early 2015 prints of the episode, the voices that shout "¡Oley!" are absent.

The Simpsons (Selma's Choice) (1993): "You Make Me Feel (Like A Natural Woman)" plays over the logo, and then Selma says "Oh yeah."; the shush and the regular logo music are absent. Original airings have the normal logo instead.

The Simpsons (Duffless) (1993) and (Grift of the Magi) (1999): The shush and the regular logo music are replaced with a bicycle bell being rung twice followed by Homer giggling.

The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror IV) (1993) and (Treehouse of Horror V) (1994): A woman is heard screaming with heavy reverb and delay, followed by the Danny Elfman organ version of the theme.

The Simpsons ($pringfield) (1993), (Lisa Gets an "A") (1998), and (Opposites A-Frack) (2014): The theme is played in the style of big band music followed by a slot machine noise replacing the second half of it.

The Simpsons (Lady Bouvier's Lover) (1994), (This Little Wiggy) (1998), and (Super Franchise Me) (2014): After the Gracie lady shushes, Grandpa Abe (who began talking starting at the second half of the credits of the former episode) says "I'm sorry."

The Simpsons (Homer the Great) (1995), (Girly Edition) (1998), and (The Wreck of the Relationship) (2014): After the Gracie lady shushes, Carl says "Shut up!". Spanish, Italian, Hungarian and Ukrainian prints of the episode have the normal logo instead.

The Simpsons (Bart vs Australia) (1995): The shush and the regular logo music are replaced with Lisa playing a didgeridoo.

The Simpsons (Lisa's Wedding) (1995), (The Joy of Sect) (1998), and (Margical History Tour) (2004): The regular logo music is played in the style of renaissance music. On the latter two, the shush is absent; on the latter, the theme is longer.

The Simpsons ('Round Springfield) (1995), (The Way We Weren't) (2004), and (Peeping Mom) (2014): The regular logo music is played by a piano with the melody in an alto saxophone. On "'Round Springfield", the shush has a slight echo effect to it.

The Simpsons (Who Shot Mr. Burns? (Part One)) (1995): A gun shot is heard at the end of the logo's theme.

The Simpsons (Lisa the Vegetarian) (1995): "Maybe I'm Amazed" is heard over the logo.

The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror VI) (1995): The music is played in the style of Myst/Phillip Glass music. The scream is absent.

The Simpsons (Summer of 4 Ft. 2) (1996), (Das Bus) (1998), (Simpson Safari) (2001), and (The Musk Who Fell To Earth) (2015): The logo's music is played in the style of beach music with a tenor saxophone lead.

The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror VII) (1996): A different sound effect of a woman screaming is used (albeit sounding younger), followed by a slow variant of the organ version of the theme.

The Simpsons (The Canine Mutiny) (1997): Chief Wiggum says "Jamming" at the end. Spanish, Italian, Hungarian and Ukrainian prints of the episode have the normal logo instead.

The Simpsons (Lisa's Sax) (1997) and (Jazzy and the Pussycats) (2006): The audio from the "'Round Springfield" variant is used, albeit the melody is played an octave lower and in a tenor saxophone. Sometimes, the shush is absent.

The Simpsons (Bart Carny) (1998): After the Gracie lady shushes, Bill Cosby says "Garbage." Spanish prints of the episode have the normal logo instead.

The Simpsons (Treehouse of Horror IX) (1998): The scream is replaced with Regis Philbin screaming "MY EYES, MY BEAUTIFUL EYES!". The organ version is still present. This is only heard in syndication, Disney+ and on the Season 10 DVD release. On Spanish prints, Regis Philbin's line is absent, leaving only the organ version of the theme, just like the second and third Treehouse of Horror episodes.

The Simpsons (When You Dish Upon a Star) (1998): After the Gracie lady shushes, Ron Howard says "Homer, we're out of vodka". The regular logo music is absent (except on FXX airings of this episode where Ron Howard's line is followed by a short edited version of the regular logo music: the last three notes). Ukrainian prints of the episode have the normal logo instead.

The Simpsons (D'oh-in in The Wind) (1998): Homer's "Bury Flanders" song plays over the credits. However, the shush cuts it off.

FXX airings of the episode preserve this variant except the 2009 logo is plastered onto the 1987 one.
