Background

The Granada Media Group expanded to North America in 1997 with the formation of Granada Entertainment. This division was later put in 2004 with Granada USA New York and Carlton America (which Granada bought as part of their merger with Carlton Communications to form ITV plc) under a new company - Granada America.



1st Logo (1997-1999)


Visuals: Same as the 1995 Granada Productions logo, but the logo is zoomed out, more of the background is shown, and then the text "GRANADA ENTERTAINMENT" folds in below the logo. Sometimes, the text "in association with" appears below the logo.

Technique: Same as the 1995 Granada logo.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability:

  • Seen on shows such as Cracker, Holding the Baby and Boot Camp.
  • On current prints of the former, it, along with the Sadwith and Kushner-Locke logos, are plastered by the 2017 Multicom Entertainment Group logo.

2nd Logo (1999-2001)


Visuals: Same as the 1999 Granada Video logo, except that the logo is more cyan-toned and is aligned in the center. The word "Entertainment" also replaces "MEDIA".

Technique: Same as the Granada Video logo.

Audio: The ending theme of the show, a dreamy synth theme, or none.

Availability:

  • Seen on television movies and TV shows like Beggars and Choosers.
  • It was also seen at the end of a March 2023 airing of the 1999 TV movie Murder in a Small Town on Virgin Media Three.

3rd Logo (2001-2004)


Visuals: Same as the 2001 Granada Media International logo, except that the white text "Granada Entertainment" appears below. The animation is also sped up.

Technique: Same as the 2001 Granada Media International logo.

Audio: Same as the 2001 Granada Media International logo.

Availability: Seen on the failed pilot of The Grubbs.

4th Logo (2004-2009)
